More ways to get through legal work faster
Over the past six months, we’ve made significant improvements across eBrief Ready, Disclosure Ready and Legal Ready’s AI capabilities.
From faster document review and smarter matter analysis to simpler administration and better document preparation, here are the updates worth reading about.
New: Document Redaction
Preparing legal documents often means ensuring confidential, privileged or personal information is securely removed before material is shared.
Document Redaction is now being introduced across the Legal Ready product suite, allowing you to permanently redact sensitive information from PDF documents within your existing workflow.
That means you can:
- Permanently remove sensitive information before documents are provided to clients, counsel, courts or other parties
- Reduce manual processes by avoiding unnecessary file transfers between different applications
- Prepare documents more efficiently without leaving your Legal Ready workflow
- Work with greater confidence when preparing disclosure material, evidence and court documents.
It’s another step towards keeping more of the document preparation process in one place.
AI built for legal work
Matter Intelligence brings AI directly into the workflows legal professionals already use.
You can now use AI to:
- Summarise documents — quickly understand key content without reading every page
- Build chronologies — generate referenced timelines from matter documents
- Analyse bank statements — identify missing statements, extract financial information and surface patterns
- Automatically classify documents — organise and name documents as they enter a matter
- Analyse an entire matter — see documents, parties, dates and key issues in one place
Every capability has been designed to support lawyers, not replace them, and firms remain in complete control of when and where AI is used.
New: Data Matrix
For matters involving large volumes of documents, reviewing files one by one can take hours.
Data Matrix provides another way to interrogate a document set.
Ask a series of questions and receive structured, side-by-side answers across your documents, with citations back to the original material.
It is particularly useful for:
Litigation. Disclosure. Investigations. Due diligence.
Instead of repeatedly opening and reviewing individual documents, Data Matrix helps you identify the information that matters across the entire set.
Practical improvements across the platform
Throughout the year, we have continued to make practical improvements based on customer feedback.
These include:
- Recovering deleted documents
- Permanently deleting documents when required
- Remembering previously shared email addresses
- An additional font size option for document indexes
These updates may be small individually, but together they can make everyday matter management simpler.
Better tools for administrators
We’ve also made it easier for firms to manage their accounts as their teams grow.
Organisation administrators can now:
- Manage users in bulk
- Delete matters in bulk
- Centrally manage security, privacy and AI settings
- Report on users and matters across the organisation
- More easily manage templates and AI preferences
One place. More visibility. More control.
What we’re working on next
We’re continuing to bring more of the legal workflow into one platform.
Client Portal
A secure, view only environment where clients can track outstanding document requests and upload files directly into a matter, without being able to edit or delete documents.
Bates Stamping
Legal teams will be able to prepare disclosure material, court books and electronic briefs without leaving the platform.
Alongside these releases, we’ll continue delivering practical improvements that make legal work simpler and faster.
Redaction Suite
Manual redaction tools will help users identify and permanently remove confidential information across large document collections.
